Friday night dinner?
« on: July 08, 2013 - 04:11:34 PM »
Is it pizza at the club Hotel parking lot as usual(better know as Viperman land)? That works for me.   :swaying:

Last year the pizza I bought at Pizza Hut wasn't bad at all. I probably won't get there until dinner time Friday night, hopefully sooner. Just figure me in on whatever you do.

The past few years, Friday dinner has kinda been a disaster.  There've been fewer and fewer people staying at the same hotel (which is kinda my fault), and people have been getting there at later times and such...  I mean even last year there was only what, 5 of us?  I remember when there were 12-15 people huddled around a giant stack of pizza boxes.  :)

So I really don't know what's for Friday dinner this year.  Luckily we're going to be right there at the edge of the Carlisle Pike which has pretty much everything, so we can kinda find out Friday who plans on being around and come up with an idea.  There's a Red-Robin right across 114 from the hotel - we could always call in a large reservation in the afternoon.  *shrug*

All the big-name pizza joints are fighting for market supremacy, so you can get pizzas for $10 or less for a large from pretty much anyone nowadays - just in case that ends up being the majority vote again!

Jeff,

  Thanks for chiming in.

Well, I have the dilemma of driving up Friday at dinner time, or I just wait until Saturday morning and drive up. Maybe I'll wait until Saturday morning since you guys don't have anything planned on Vipermanland? That will save me for half my Hotel bill anyway.

Yeah, I was just throwing this question out there and seeing the response. I miss those days of 15 of us having pizza in the parking lot.

I think we had about 10 come and go last year. I am definitely up for a party at Vipermanland again. I'll
even bring some more of the homemade wine.     Though I can't drink this year.  :swear:
If I cant fix it, it's broke

The last couple years the viper club staying at the hotel was kind enough to bring out their leftover Pizza Hut pizzas later in the evening on Friday for us parking lot drunks to enjoy.   :drunk:

In 2011 we had a tiki bar theme going in the parking lot each night including tree lights, tiki god, leis, and torches.   :drunk:

We could always return the favor this year and give them our left over pizza . . .   :drunk:

HAH - I'm sure we'll have plenty of pictures of Oh10Challenger sleeping under the tent this year...  :)

We'll definitely plot out a "Vipermanland" to hang out in the evenings and have some beers, and I'm sure we'll be out there Friday night.  I just don't know that we'll organize an official dinner this year.  Actually Red Robin sounds kinda good to me too.  :)

But afterwards you'll find me and my variety pack of homebrews at Vipermanland - location yet TBD.  ;)

Wegman's market up the road has pretty good pizza, large pie $9.99 and made fresh anyway you want it. As good as if not better than any pizza joint..

They also have inside and outside eating area. Now as far a beer goes don't know.. (byo)?

That's where we usually go for pies...

Wegman's has a huge selection of craft and regular beers sold as singles, six or 12 packs.
