Wanted 72-74 Challenger /6

You read it right a slant 6 Challenger - prefer manual transmission.  Obviously the better condition the more I will pay.  By the way - this will stay /6 powered.

Yup. I bought a slant 6 72 this year. It is in my avatar pic. I think they made only 825 or so in 72.

I didn't know that about 73 & 74.  I see that the engines are listed in the chassis manual so I assumed the Challenger received hem as well.  Ok '72 it is and how many are left out the 825.  We are talking HEMI rare aren't we.?!

I know for me I want to keep the /6 just because you hardly ever see them, to me it is kind of cool, sorry to jump in on the conversation.

  I've been saying for a while that an original slant six is soon going to be a lot rarer than an original Hemi, if it's not already. The last time I said that someone responded "No way! It'll never be worth more than a Hemi." I refrained from pointing out that rarity, value and worth are three different things

A good friend of mine owns a body shop and we just did a /6 '69 Camaro.  What was unique about this is that the guy did the suspension to be a canyon carver.  My role was to put in a Tremec 5 speed.  What was cool is that the engine have a turbo on it and let me tell you it was an freaking blast to drive.  It was not a fast machine but it was really quick and pulled like crazy.  It just has me thinking, that's all.  I didn't realize that '72 was the last model year for the /6 in the Challenger.  Thanks to everyone who has contacted me.  I've got a few that I will be calling.

 I'm keeping my '70 Barracuda /6 as is, because as stated above, they are becoming a rarity in itself and I want to help preserve and show this side of the spectrum. besides that, with today's gas prices I couldn't afford to drive her daily if it was a big 8
