If you're coming to Carlisle, just travel a few hundred miles more into the south and load up the trunk of your car. I see it all the time in Virginia where cigarettes are fairly cheap as compared to say New York. Just don't resell them. That would be bad!  :bricks1:

...I have been in the cigarette/tobacco business since 1966, cigarettes were 25 cents per pack or $1.94 per carton...over the last 47 years I have heard the same people complain about rising prices over and over again, bottom line, prices are not going to go down...quit now and save the money for something else in your life, your MOPAR, your kids, your grandkids etc

...many customers have elected to use RYO, (roll your own) and make their own cigarettes which brings the price down to approximately $10. per carton in Indiana...a 1lb bag of tobacco produces approximately 2 cartons of cigarettes and we sell the RYO anywhere from $13. to $20. per bag...you need to buy tubes also, but it is a VERY cheap alternative...E-cigs are not taxed yet, but the gov't is looking at this closely due to the potential loss of tax revenue from cigarettes and tobacco as the popularity of E-cigs increases

PS...I have been involved in the tobacco business for 47 years and have NEVER tasted a tobacco product of any kind, nor does anyone in my family use tobacco

Also. The Powers that be, (obama) have a $1.00 a tax on cigs planned. Seriously. EFF all those govment types. EFF them to hell. They aren't going to be satisfied until we are taxed out of existence. It doesn't matter what it is. Right now it's tobacco and bullets. Next up is healthcare.

I'm about an hour and a half from Winston Salem, NC which might as well be the tobacco capitol of the world, and all you used to see here in NC was tobacco fields.  Just field of after field of tobacco.  I used to love smelling it hanging in the barn.  Now, you would be hard pressed to find 2 or 3 fields of tobacco if you drove through a whole county.  Sure, the big guys are still growing it, especially towards the SC line.  But the days of the average farmer growing it, which almost every farmer did down here years ago, are long gone. Sad really

Tobacco fields have useful purposes.

Remember the episode of Moonshiners where he was hiding Moonshine under them?
