Loose Power Steering Box
« on: March 26, 2005 - 02:30:04 PM »
My recent purchase of a 68 Cuda has been upgraded with Power Steering (before I purchased it). The steering seems to have a lot of play in it, I checked the front suspension components, they have already been replaced or they are tight. Can the box be tightened by the center nut, I think I remember a rech bulletin describing how to do it - can anybody help with this.

Dave

there is a 5/8 nut & an aleen or slotted screw inside the nut , make sure the steering is on center & tighten the center screw down , i fyou go too far it will become tight to turn over center  ... adjust as nessisary
