Parts Vendors...who and where?
« on: March 26, 2005 - 04:26:03 PM »
Newbie with first ever Mopar purchase. I dont know how I lasted this long losing to alot of Road Runners a couple really fast 440/6 chargers in the early seventies! Have owned alot of GM muscle and presently have a 66 olds 442 and a C6 Corvette.

The question is what parts vendors do you guys and gals use, other than Year One? My experience with Year one has been one of high prices and marginal service, especially within the last three years or so. Any help here is appriciated!

Welcome aboard mate, glad to see you have seen the light.

My experience with YO has been nothing but good, prices are only $0-$10. difference and ony on some items so I don't know why I keep hearing about this "MAJOR" price difference. They email, track orders and email straight away. Without YO my Challenger would be dead.

Welcome to the mopar world Karfever, looks like you have a nice collection of cars going. NZ basically covered every vendor there is, I use paddock and Yearone for a lot of stuff, but eBay is probably what I use the most, especially the oddities. Mancini Racing will be your best bet for engine and drivetrain parts, their prices are the lowest 90% of the time and they ship out the items quickly. BTW, your avatar is humungous, so you might want to replace it with this more-to-scale picture to let everyone see your sublime beauty.

Just an FYI for people who order from YearOne online,  you can enter MOPARTS as a discount code and get 10% off your order.  Not a whole lot, but adds up after awhile.

Also you get a code when you do your first order from then on you recieve discount.

It's also peace of mind knowing that for people like myself who live overseas that my orders arrive exactly what I ordered, still in one piece and usually within 1 week from door to door. I pay the extra money and get the best for ma MoPar.  :grinyes: :patriot:

NZ, I take it you have had bad luck with them. I must have not seen the threads warning about them. Glad to hear before I decide to get anything else from them. I have bought a few things over the last couple months and had good luck.. Remember to say away from Penstar Reproductions.  Again thanks for the info.

:iagree: I have had personal dealings with them since they are local but will gladly pay for shipping from Year One than buy from them ever again. There are a few people who have had good luck but lots of complaints about price switching and over charging for shipping.

Thanks again Torredcuda, I'll be sure and not buy anything from them again. We all need to stick together and put these slackers out of business..

Torred, The owner called me after getting his money deducted back and apoligized for the mistakes. He sent me the correct parts for the few I had received and my refunded my money for the rest.
