1972 Challenger restoration

Some photos of my Challenger. Traded my 55 Chevy for her in 2007 straight up. Traditionally I think I'm supposed to post pictures as the restoration happens, however y'all get to view start to finish all at once. I know, I know it kills the anticipation of the completion, but what can I say. I'm a buzzkill. Anyway, hopefully I do this right and some pictures appear on the inter web. Enjoy

And this is what the end product ended up being. Mostly finished today 7/13/13. And yes, I know the engine compartment is supposed to be body color. I had the engine and tranny out earlier this winter and at the time had no intentions of painting it. So fast forward to May of this year when I decided to patch quarters and paint the car. Didn't feel like yarding out the engine again. I figure when I blow it up I'll mask off the engine compartment and paint her EV2 like the rest of the car

That is some awesome paint!
Way better in ev2 than in the blue.

What paint did you use in the tail light cavities?

What paint did you use in the tail light cavities?

I think it was some high temp cast aluminum VHT engine paint I had on the shelf. It actually ended up looking really close to original argent silver color. Well I should say, close enough for me.
