Plan for 2014 !
« on: July 15, 2013 - 08:53:35 PM »
So another year is gone , maybe we can start to get everything organized for next summer .
Sounds like the restaurant was a hit so we should do that again !
Can we book a group of rooms at the best hotel now too so most or all can stay in one place again ?
Everyone should make a reservation if they even think they are coming , cancel later if nessisary or switch it to another members name if they have to cancel later .
What else should we get arranged  :dunno:
 Donations for 72 cudaman / Andy ?
 Donations for the food ?

I don't think I can go another year without going to Carlisle.  Are you going to make it next year Neil?
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

The motel I stayed at would be great for hanging out late at night at. Lots of grassy area's , even a picnic area in the bush/open field behind the motel! indoor/out door pools etc...    :blah:
Great bar/nightclub up front, even a mechanical bull! :thinkerg:  Lots of parking...
Just a thought?

What did you pay per night?  I just put in checking in Thursday 7-10-14 and checking out Sunday 7-13-14 and the average was $143.28/night.  If this hotel sounds good to everyone I can look into reserving a block.

I got it for $113 a night via expedia?  I looked and found the same rates you did when looking at the hotel web site. That's nuts.... too expensive!

I do plan on booking next years hotel soon - I doubt I can do blocks through Expedia though.  I'll do some research and see what I can learn.  Ash and I had talked to Dave and MEK about going back to the old hotel (2010 and prior) and seeing what they would cost, as they have remodeled since we decided not to go there anymore.

This sounds like a fun hotel, but I'm sure wherever the group stays will be a fun hotel!

I stayed at the Econo Lodge 4 miles away. Cathy and Andy asked if it was safe. I paid $82 a night. The room was clean, the bathroom was brand new and the water pressure was great.  If my wife was with me, I would have flipped for a better one or stayed at your hotel. I had to drive, so couldn't drink. I would have been buzzed like Ashley. Since I was by myself, I was happy with a microwave, mini fridge, continental breakfast and cheaper rate.

I travel with a firearm and my cars have a viper pager alarm. I "think" I'm safe wherever I stay.
