 Ash and I had talked to Dave and MEK about going back to the old hotel (2010 and prior) and seeing what they would cost, as they have remodeled since we decided not to go there anymore.

  It's definitely cheaper, and you have to keep in mind most reviews are years old. I still would like conformation that they revamped the place. It was just right off I-83 which has you on the Pa Turnpike in no time. Carlise is about 20 minutes away if I recall.

  For the record, I had no problems with the Hotel chosen this year. Just sayin..

Brad,  I stayed there last year and it was great. I remember they threw a barbeque for the guest one night, free of charge. I enjoyed it especially the nightclub.  I'd go there again.

Ashley and I visited a LOT of hotels in 2012 looking for cheaper alternatives.  Unfortunately, hotels in the central PA area have caught on to the Carlisle craze, and prices have skyrocketed at hotels even half-an-hour away from Carlisle.

Either we're going to have to go FAR away from the hotel - an idea that I know not everyone will support - or we're just gonna have to save some extra pennies over the year.

OR, we camp on the fairgrounds...    I'll admit I've thought about it, but the lack of a nice hot shower in the morning and an air-conditioner overnight makes me reconsider!

If you were camping, Carlisle has showers . . . It is the A/C that would be an issue . . .

In all honesty I don't think we fill that many rooms.  Maybe back in '07, but I don't think we've had as many members in attendance since then.  We didn't fill the 15 rooms I booked at the Raddison in 2012.
