71 Challenger door jamb switches
« on: July 17, 2013 - 08:15:46 AM »
Hello All,,,,, and Alan..  :grinno:

OK, I need to find the correct door jamb switches for the 71 Challenger. Both holes look to be the same size with the difference being the switches; driver's side with 3-prongs and the passenger side with 2... Correct? There are other switches that have a larger diameter, correct? If so for later years, like '72-'74?

1. driver's side
2. passenger side

All 1970-74 E Body are the same size (the smaller size) . The larger ones are for B & A Bodies.

The two prong passenger side one is available anywhere, don't worry about the length...they're self adjusting.

The three prong driver's side is only available in used or NOS, as far as I know, with the NOS ones being harder to find these days.

Reproduction stuff has been coming out so fast I can't keep up, so who knows, they may be available now.
I've taught you everything you know.....but I haven't taught you everything I know !

Yeah. the 3 prong switch on a 71 driver's side will be a tough find.

I got a 3 prong switch for passenger side off of ebay. It was cheap. it was brand new. OOps, wrong side But I do remember them having 3 prong switches on there as well, when I was searching
