** 72cudamaan AKA .... Andy needs our HELP! **
« on: July 19, 2013 - 08:13:06 AM »
I don't know if you all caught this post.... http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?topic=93999.0
but it was with a heavy heart that we received the news at Carlisle this year. Andy has been working on and still is working on getting his Cuda on the road.  I've asked Dave (4C) and Neil ( CP) and they thought it was a great idea.
Dave at Roseville is willing to help out this cause as well ! :worshippy :clapping: :2thumbs:  (Thanks Dave!!)

The goal is to get Andy's car finished as soon as possible and have him drive it down to Carlisle next summer! We together can make this happen via cash donations and or spare parts we have around collecting dust! With all the members on here we collectively CAN make this happen for Andy! What ever you can spare will go a long way to helping out us achieve this goal! :aarg:

I've asked Andy for a list of parts he needs but he is either being stubborn or shy or still working on a list?

I'm thinking of something like a bridal registry with parts required and we can check then off the list as they are acquired?
Dave at Roseville has graciously offered to do what he can to make our cash donations go as far as possible!

ANDY!!  We need you to set up a list and a paypal account so we can get this started!  I'm guessing your going to give us a hard time being proud and all but this is going to happen! No time to screw around with your pride! ya "phukker-wither" :misbehaving:  :) Get on this NOW!!!!

Here is Andys restoration post.... http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?topic=89411.0

We have done this before for other special cases, What we can do is once we have a list of items from Andy. If someone wants to be anonymous about it. They can go to the website and when i see that the shipping will go to Andy, i will do the best i can to help with the pricing, and shipping, this will be an item by item as my cost vary. Then we can modify that list so duplicates dont happen.

No need for shipping . . . . I will come and pick the stuff up and deliver to Andy . . . . probably take me 2 hours total unless I get stuck drooling in the candy store . . . . .  then maybe 3 hours.

Since it looks like I've been down a similar rustbucket restoration road as Andy.

Besides I have a bunch of extra parts that I'm not going to use after I'm done.

Count me in.... :bananasmi :ylsuper:

I don't have a lot of Cuda parts, I don't have a lot of money... But what I do have is a little bit of time off, tools and know how.  If Andy is on board and someone wants to organize a "build party" I can try like hell to make it.  I've got a welder, plasma cutter, plenty of tools I can load up and haul out there.  Depending on the date I could devote a long weekend to the cause.  The guys and I at my shop have a running joke when we're working on my car.  "72 hours till SEMA! Can they make it?"  I think it would be a fun challenge to see how much we could get done in a weekend!
Yes I own a 1972 Dodge Challenger Convertible T/A S/E with a 440 Six Pak. Can it get any more wrong?
