Are gas pedals interchangeable from a challenger to a cuda? Do all years have different ones? Im looking at one from a challenger to fit into my 71 cuda. the seller thinks this one is a 71? will any of these fit? car is a auto

it will definatly bolt in & work obviously the pedal is slightly different shape & pattern  though

Seller has them labeled correctly. Both Cuda and Challenger are the same.

Unpainted except for the very tip where the cable attaches.  The tip was dipped in black paint.  The rest of the assembly could have been phosphated.  It has a grayish look to it.

If you're going to paint it...."Cast Blast" is fairly accurate..dipped in black on the end as mentioned.

Just wondering...? what the heck was the purpose of just painting the tip black?

It's actually black plastic dip to stop wear on the throttle cable.

thanks for the pic! is the brake pedal painted the same? what about the bracket them mount to? e brake?

The brake pedal on automatic cars was sprayed black at the base.  The paint faded out about half way up the pedal.  The rest of the pedal was just bare metal.

On stick cars, the pedals were dipped in black paint.  There should be a defined dip line on the brake and clutch pedals.  I'm sure Allen has a good picture of what they should look like.

I've seen the e-brake pedal two ways.  Mine is completely painted all the way up into the mechanism.  Others I've seen have a dip line on them.  The mechanism is bare metal.

I found this picture of an E Body 4 spd set up on my web site.

The silver is supposed to be bare metal as burdar has mentioned, however I do them in Seymore's "Stainless Steel" paint so they will never rust again.
