yes , go to 2.02 valves , blend behind the seat , create a wing shape around the guide to enhance the swirl & leave a curve from the guide up behind the seat to help curl the air flow

I think the Engine Quest or Airwolf are a good direction. We're going to run these on a stock stroke 360, they would be better suited to a stroker though.

What about milling the head .030 to boost compression? I could use it.  Also, what about the pinch in the intake port? Should I work that?

Sure you can mill the head , the pushrod bump can be widened but it creates a venturii which increases air flow speed , so I usually widen it some & smooth the curve

I have a collection of LA 340-360 heads... all iron.. willing to seel them off eventually ...   would like to get light weight aluminum heads that appear stock on the outside (in other words, with the general casting contours and freeze plugs as the cast iron stock heads have)... as the 440-Source BB heads are available... BUT, its my understanding that there are no aluminum SB heads that give that appearance... having the original LA intake ports/shape, same exhaust ports/shape.. as well as bolt pattern.  The aluminum Eddy and other such heads are dead give aways... unless they could be reshaped/recontoured.... has anyone ever done this?  ideas?

I fully plan to buy some EQ magnum heads for my build. If we're talking aftermarket upgrades I would call them best bang for the buck. Stock, I'd say original magnum r/t heads if you could get a good set.

I have a set of heads on my motor that I like but don't have much info on.
They were from mopar performance and were a replacement for the 302 fast burn. They came with 2.02 intake and 1.60 exhaust valves. They are also cast iron.
From what I know they stop making them and that circle track guys use to like them.
If you know more please let me know.
