pulleys for small block
« on: July 27, 2013 - 10:31:01 PM »
Looking for the correct sized water pump and crank pulleys for my -post-1970 (76 I think?) 318 engine  -- power steering but NO AIR.

I currently have A/C pulleys on the car and want to convert to the non A/C pulleys and belts.

They came off of Don's cuda, when I built his 493 for him.  Brackets and pullies, I guess around 60 bucks.  It would be for Don's build, so I will tell him about the price

re: brackets - wouldntreally need those , bought some at carlisle (chromed).

re: pulleys.....are they from a smallblock car that had power steering but no air?  And compatible with a 76 motor?  I am not up on pulley dimensions.....but it sure seems like there are varying depths available, especially on the water pump.....far more cornfusing than I thought....LOL

Matched set and for pwr steering.   I took it off his car complete.   Thought I was giving you a good deal for everything.  Dbl bottom and single top isnt exactly cheap as it is.   shoot a price.  You  have brackets for 70 and up e body with no ac?

Im working in Ca right now and wnt be home for 2 weeks.   I have everything and anything you need for your pulley set up. Even the power steering pump with brackets. I dont know what shipping is. It will /would be fed ex tho.  Whatever they charge in the smallest sturdy box possible.

Ive been doing 16 hr days and have to drive 600 miles tomorrow, so I hadnt been on much and am kinda tired...Alan

Thanks for the leads guys.

Going by their listings, looks the the two groove pulleys are the same between my engine and the 87-91 v6 as well!   I might try a yard if Moparal has sold his off.  Gotta believe I could find used ones with that new info.

Shadango.  I don't know how to answer the questions you were asking.  The only way I can describe these pullies are they will fit e bodies 313/340  non air and power steering. They are the ones that would be stock for the car. If you have non oem stuff on your engine for brackets and add ons, I don't know. I had offered you the stock brackets too.   I was just in Ontario untill yesterday...ALAN

Well, by the looks of the power steering pump, it was stock for the car....so assuming there are no variables for the PS pulley, i should be fine there.  its an aftermarket but stock replacement 2 groove pulley alternator.....may have to swap that out maybe?

Seems like what you have would work fine on my fish.

$60 is fine for all unless shipping is going to be crazy from where you are. Still up for selling them? What do you figure shipping will be to 15132?
