SRT Viper seats in a Cuda?

I know they aren't Viper seats but I have SRT8 Challenger seats for my 71 Challenger. Test fitting them, they will require me to cut the hump on the side out and level the floor or possible drop it a bit. I'm 6'2" and would be looking at the visor if I didn't. My project is a custom pro touring project so I do not care if I cut the floors. If your's is more or less an original that you don't want to cut up, you might want to trial fit first. Most of the OEM newer seats fit high. Aftermarket and some of the older non electric OEM seats are much lower.

Of course a true Viper seat will also not flip forward I would assume? Or at least all the way forward like you really need for a Challenger/Cuda to get to the rear seat.

There's a rough set near me for $250.

$250 seems a little high if they are in rough shape.

Very true, the srt seats were just too high to fit in my Daytona. I would assume they'd be great in an e body since there is more room and the stock seats sit a little low for my liking anyways.

So, the SR4 seats are the same as the vipers? I didnt know that.

Actually, the SRT4's used two different types of seats. They both look the same, but the viper seats have a much more aggressive bolster on the sides. The ones I posted are the better viper seats with aggressive boulster.

Nope, new chally seats, older 2 door avengers, 2 dr standard neons etc.  nothing dodge makes with 4 doors has folding seats.  Gotta buy em out of a 2 dr that has a back seat.  For my money, new chally seats aRe the only way to go

about half way down this page, is a pic where I was mocking up a "flat floor" in the new floor pan.  I cut out the old braces and made new ones that supported the lower position of the "patch"  http://www.vortexbuicks-etc.com/Challengerrebuild.htm

It's a bit difficult to tell exactly how much higher the seats sit, but maybe an inch.  The bolsters on the seat bottoms make it seem high.  I am six ft and still have enough head room but it will start getting close if you are much taller.  Might have to drop the  mounting area of the pan which would take more effort.

At the bottom of the page I discovered that the steering wheel was obstructing the new gauges I stuck in the factory panel.  I hope using the factory crush can and the new Tuff Wheel clone helps that out.  Waiting on the wheel to arrive next week now that I got back playing with this car.
