Finally posting pics of 71 Cuda
« on: August 02, 2013 - 01:58:45 AM »
Hi all, Took my daughter for a cruise last night and stopped to take a few pictures. I'll post some better ones soon I hope instead of using phone. Is a original Bahama yellow, billboard, shaker car. 340 with auto, complete rebuild inside and out. Got it done this May. When i have more time I'll post the pics of the work on the restoration forum. I hated putting splash guards on the back but there are so many rocks still left on the roads up here I wanted to prolong the paint or billboards from getting chips.

Nice car, not many in AK like that. I lived in fairbanks from 2nd grade to 6th at Eielsen AFB. We still hav efamily friends that live up there. Rodney and Leonard Wolcott, they are from Arkansas so the accent is hard to miss. Look forward to the pics of the resto work

Gives me something to shoot for.
Thanks for posting the pics, what a great ride. It also opened up an old file in my memory regarding the different names Mopar used for the Plymouth vs Dodge color codes.

Just beautiful! I can give you a tip on the splash guards. Use some black spring clips from your local office supply store to attach them when traveling. Then you can take them off when you get to the show  :2thumbs:

Really nice ride.

Keep a close eye for Moose crossing when you drive it.

I would almost be scared to drive it up there knowing how many I saw up there this summer.

Thanks for the comments and tips. If any CC member ever gets up this way again your welcome to come by. This website was a big help on reassembling this car. You know how it is put something together that you didn't take apart. The pics and member past suggestions on what to do or use was a big help. Here's a few more pics and one with a friends chally with a 470 stroker from a car show this spring. The Cuda took peoples choice , best of show that was really cool.
