shaker hood question.
« on: August 02, 2013 - 08:11:51 PM »
:clueless: so I'm looking at my firewall. My car is an original shaker car but it has a power bulga for now. What should I look for on the firewall that show its a shaker firewall if ya know what I mean :dunno: Alot of sheelmetal was replaced on my Cuda before I bought it. I want to make sure my firewall is correct. Just another thing to add to my long list of parts  :roflsmiley:

Here's a short of my FJ6 1971 Shaker Cuda. Look down 2" under the rusty voltage regulator and over the the passenger side about 3"....You'll see a gromet and a cable coming out of the firewall. This is the only difference in a "Shaker" firewall.
I've taught you everything you know.....but I haven't taught you everything I know !

The one on the right in your picture is correct, the one on the left has been added at some time...It's not factory.

Ya I think the guy who painted my car put the left on on . Not sure why. Guess I'll use the one on the left for remote pully for small fire extinguisher.
