I have no idea about value, but this line astruck me as funny.

the body has some rust, and rh rr 1/4 has been hit by a pole, and needs some rocker straightening.

So this car was innocently minding its own business when this telephone pole viciously attacked it?  :roflsmiley:

Seems like a great car for someone else to pay you to restore :)

It is a desirable VIN, but with a NOM engine , no trans,  and the rusty condition I think he's a little strong on price.

I agree, seems a little steep.  $45k for a project that is going to cost another $45k and countless hrs to be worth what?

Yea, for my liking he's about $10K too high, however it's a very rare Hemi car, just not overly desirable in my opinion. The 500's are like red-headed step children, they never get the respect the R/T's or the Daytonas do....

In his defence...he does have over $10K in Hemi parts that go with the car... :dunno:

I will cut him some slack on some of the HEMI parts. BUT I've had a garage full of them (got a post from years back here someplace). Its not always what you think.  :nono:
Here's another car to stick 25/30K into to make nice.  :dunno:  isn't it fun dealing with some of these guys?? Of all the mopes, charger guys seem to be the  :screwy: of all for some reason.

Great rides, but who's lining up to buy? Very limited market once you get past 100K in my HFO.  Or even 50K :dunno:

Total agreement on that....Plus the fact three (at least) are currently on the market with this one being the least desirable of them all.
If you could buy and restore it for under $100K, then maybe it would sell quicker if priced $50K less than it's closest competitor  :dunno:

It's a thought that cant hurt that's for sure. Outside of watching B-J or Meacum to a lesser extent. People don't seam to be "players" like they were a few years ago. Not trying to get into a political thing here that's for sure......

I think some of the "bigger" cars are selling, we're just not hearing about them.

Last month my old Barrelcuda sold again in the $115K range...The buyer bought three cars from the same guy....The seller has moved almost ten cars in the last two months, and I'm not talking cheap cars either....

The last Cuda I sold moved in 5 days for $60K....

Thing that burns my ASSets.....There's great project cars out there, but the owners (the guys with next to nothing invested) will never get around to do proper restorations and are also trying to sell them for unrealistic prices.
Guys like me who are in the business of restoring cars to sell, can't buy anything because of the high cost of the buy-in and the high cost of restoration doesn't leave enough room to cover my labour....

The BIG issue I run into (like the 70 Charger) is a BIG EMOTIONAL  attachment. Its kind of like on the TV show "pickers" (mike & frank). If there's an attachment the price is off the charts. When I bought my GTX, the mans family had NO attachment and he had passed. It was an easily done deal.  :grinyes:

I normally do 4 auctions a week in the course of business...  buying cars is no easier in the parts business believe me.  :banghead:
