Small progress update....
The front suspension pieces came back from the restoration shop this week. I installed the K-frame and all the front end pieces. I still need to install the torsion bars as well as the brakes and rotors. The rotors and wheel bearings where shot so I need to find replacement parts for these.
Just a side note.... I know some of the front end parts are not painted OEM correct colors but for my build I am going for a clean restored look not, necessarily OEM correct. With that in mind, the lower control arms got painted black because I forgot to tell the paint shop to paint them silver. When I picked them up they looked so nice that i decided to just keep them black as opposed to have them redone. The torsion bars where blasted and clear coated just to do something different, this was done on purpose.
Last week I installed new brakes lines as well as the rebuilt brake booster. I also had previously installed the heater box, and wiper motor a couple of weeks ago.
The rear axle and leaf springs went out this week for cleaning and painting. Hope to get those back in a couple of weeks and get the engine in shortly after (engine is already painted and sitting at the restoration shop).
