A few shots from my week in Paris and Amsterdam.

Hmm. I don't know about a favorite, but I can offer some observations.

1-The transportation infrastructure in Paris all smells like a urinal. Even the high speed trains, which are expensive enough that I would have expected to be well-maintained.
2-Notre Dame is pretty, and I'm impressed that it's been standing for hundreds of years, but honestly I think NAtional Cathedral in DC is prettier.
3-Long story, but I did not get to go up in the Eiffel Tower. Would have loved to have done so.
4-Disneyland PAris is nothing special. I'm a huge Disney fan, love Walt Disney World, but this was like any other park in the world.
5-Holland is a very pleasant place. I've been in Amsterdam the entire time so far, so the pot might be making everyone mellow  :roflsmiley:
6-I'm big on naval histrory, and Holland has it in spades, so that's been nice.

One of the advantages of the Saudi job is relatively cheap travel. Flights that would cost me more than two grand in the States are about $5-600 from Saudi.

At some point I'll take that pic and convert it to black and white except for the bike

First things first: congratulations!

Now, great shots but, no pretty women willing to pose for, as Pink Floyd put it, "a stranger in this town?"

Really?    ;D

I envy ya; been on my way to thinkin' about abroad but, I get only so far from my gun collection and I turn back (quick)!

Thanks for sharing, some of those shots really are great!

Very nice pics, Dave!  Thanks!  Very photgraphic, but my poor neck....  :roflsmiley:

A cool little place we took the bus out to when we were in Amsterdam was Madurodam.  It's a mini city made by parents as a tribute to their fallen son.

Have fun!!!
