« on: August 16, 2013 - 09:01:36 AM »
HI i donot want to bag anyone .But please help me out here  on ebay now is a 70 barracuda clone with a shaker has a big block,  but was born with a 318 engine .  It has  very nice orange paint starting price is $ 50k  the buy it now price is $85k  am i missing something or what . I have no problem if you think i am unfair about this car but i just cannot see this type of money for a clone . Is the market on the way back up ? I do wish the seller all the best with the sale , but some how i think he will have it for some time yet .

I have not seen the car, but...................
All depends on the quality of the work / car.  He could easily have $100k into the car.

I am not trashing the car at all. It looks like it will make someone very proud to own it, but....my car is much better equipped and I couldnt get $40k for mine

Btw, does a striped ass ape have hockey stick markings on it?

Other wrong things I've noticed. He didn't even switch out the heater control panel. Wrong console and wiper motor too. Also, the hood hinges should have been body color.

You'd think if you're trying to demand that kind of money, all those things and the other stuff mentioned would have been addressed.

If you are going to make a clone at least remove the  barracuda emblems from the fenders and tail panel. The detail  on that car is a joke for that kind of money. That car probably has a 100 pounds of bondo  on it.Just looking at how the dash was done and the wrong shifter I would run from that car.

Buy It Now is almost always wishful thinking on the part of the seller.

Let's see if it even gets a single bid starting at $50k. I'd bet not.

Did you see the green Charger R/T S/E 440 six pack, (1 of 1 apparently) that the owner had a price of $240,000 on?  :22yikes:
