I'm really digging the color! You are moving fast Jim, keep up the work and pics!!!

Food For thought although a lil late is adding subframe connectors but that is based on how torquey your motor build will be.

"usraptr" = United States raptor - bird of prey = United States Bald Eagle.  FYI, somebody else thought of it first so I had to drop the "O" in raptor.

Plans on the quarter panel corner?

All of the holes from the old school repair have been welded shut and everything has been reshaped before adding a light coat of filler. We've fit the panels and got all of the body lines pretty decent. What little body work there was is nearly done and the car should see primer and be ready to start blocking out in the next few days. I'll get some more pics up soon. Thanks for all of the encouragement guys!

I'm getting ready to go to Indy for the swap meet next weekend, anyone going to be there? Let me know and I'll look you up to say hello. My brother and I and some other friends will have a few spaces there also.

Yesterday I was talking to my brother about progress on the car and he reminded me that there were no current pictures on thread for him to look at. So... to all I am sorry, I've been so focused on the car that I haven't done a very good job of keeping you all updated. In the next couple of posts I will try to get us all up to speed, hold on some stuff is going to happen fast.

The next step was to get all of the panels fitted. Pretty interesting how poorly this car had been fitted originally but we got it done with fairly reasonable spacing.

Next we took the car back apart and did all of the bodywork. Unfortunately I got so carried away that I didn't get any pictures of this part. Fortunately though there was very little filler. This car passes the magnet test with flying colors no matter where you put it. The only exception would most likely be the leaded area in the sail panels. So we go the body work done and go the car in primer and ready for blocking.

The crazy pictures are coming out sideways again, I don't get it. Anyway, after blocking we primered again to get ready for wet sanding.

I think I figured it out. These are iPhone photos and when you attach them the site seems to auto orient long side on top. I've cropped these next ones to if that works. After wet sanding the car and fenders we went ahead and got them painted so I could begin some reassembly while Paul continues blocking and wet sanding the panels. I'm not sure this method would work very well if this was a metallic color but since it is opaque Rallye Red we're confident it will work fine.
