Look what followed me home today...
« on: August 18, 2013 - 10:32:54 PM »

Since the Challenger is almost done, I decided I needed another project.  The wife said it was OK as long as I didn't spend every spare minute out in the garage.  It's a 68 Dart GT convertible, B5 blue with white top and white interior.  It has bucket seats, a console, 318/904, power steering, three speed wipers, and front drums with no sway bar.

I just happened to find a complete disc brake setup on craigslist and picked it up yesterday. It has the sway bar on it too so that's perfect.

Here are a couple pics of it loaded onto the trailer.  It was a little much for the Durango but I made it home.

I got a GTS hood with the deal so as soon as it was unloaded, the flat hood came off and the GTS hood went on.

I also picked up a C-body 8 3/4 rear end for free.  It will be narrowed to fit the Dart eventually.

I haven't quite decided yet 100%.  I'm leaning one way though.

This car sat under a lean-to for 20 years in Nevada.  The only rust I see on it is right behind the front tires.  It's going to need a couple patches there.  There will probably be some more once I pull it apart but it's WAY better then the Challenger was.

Sweet!
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Looks like a nice score. Since I am shopping myself, I'm curious what you had to give for it. Mind sharing?? Thanks!
Cheers!

There was a slant 6 69 for $7700 at the Nat's that needed a lot of work.  I bought this one for a little less.
