I'm not sold on the pearl yet.  When I envisioned the car in my head, I was seeing blue against bright white interior.  The pearl is yellowish.  I really wish I had the money to have the upholstery shop make me custom white leather covers.  That would be awsome.  The pearl will probably look like a different color in the sunlight though.  Right now I'm just seeing them in the dim light of the basement.

  I thought there would be more people screaming NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I did buy a spoiler but it's not what you might think.  It's going to be very subtle....and on the front of the car.

Here's the website that shows some pictures of it installed.  They do make them for the Cuda and Challenger as well.

It looks really easy to install. There are only three fasteners. The center bolts to the hood latch bracket in front of the radiator. The ends get bolted up through the inner bumper brackets. Very simple.

Tonight I worked on removing the convertible top trim on the top of the quarters and under the back window. What a PITA! The snaps for the top boot hold the trim on. The snaps screw into little retainers that are clipped to the body. All the screws just spun around and wouldn't come out. I had to grab the snaps with some pliers and pull on them while turning the screws. Some came out but I had to drill most of them. I got one side done. Not looking forward to the other side.

I got the rest of the trim off.  The other side went better.  I was able to get a small screw driver under the snaps to apply upward pressure on them as I turned out the screws.  It looks like the screws were over tightened at some point.  The threads were stripped so there was nothing to grab the slot in the clip.  It looks like the clips are good though.  I can get them re-plated with the rest of the hardware.

I use a pair of these when I have to pry out trim stuff....works better than I screw driver in my experience.  Easier to slowly apply pressure and you can get it on 2 sides of the fastener:

The only thing I'm waiting on is the radio.  Once that's back, the dash will be done.  The new dash bezels showed up last week.  I made a slight change to the gauge bezel that makes a big difference in the looks.

The back side of the bezel is visable through the gauge opening in a few places.  Originally, the area was oversprayed with black paint.  It looked fine with the gauges painted black but unfinished with the white gauges.

I masked the opening and sprayed the back of the bezel white.

Now when you look at the gauges, all you see is white.  Before it looked unfinished...now it looks like it was meant to be white.

The radio is done. I sent payment today. I might have it back at the end of the week.

I bought some aluminum breathers for the engine. Well, one is a breather, the other one looks like a breather but has a PCV valve inside of it. It will look much better then a stock plastic PCV. I plan on running the PCV line through an oil separator tank before the carb as well.

A body shop owner came to look at the car today. He said he would rather patch the floor then replace the entire pan. We'll see what it looks like after being blasted. It also needs some patches behind the rear wheels and the trunk lip is starting to swell a little. He said as soon I get the car torn down the rest of the way, he can get it in the shop. He will blast everything but the outside panels, fix the few rust issues and prime. Then the car will come home for me to do all the engine and suspension test fitting. Once I measure for wheels, the car can go back for final bodywork and paint.
