Mine is probably is not bent too bad, I really don't know how to judge that. My steering wheel is about 45 degrees turned to the right when the car is going straight.
BUT, I found the part. It's cool how you go from being stumped to being on a roll when you're chasing something.
I talked to Bruce at Suspension Restoration (GREAT guy), he said the Strut Rod is a SPRING STEEL part. He used to work with spring steel. He said the proper way to straighten spring steel is to heat it, bend it and then PROPERLY heat treat it after it's been bent. He thought the guys at Firm Feel could help me.
I called Firm Feel, they have some nice reproductions. But I wanted to stay with the real OEM stuff, the guy at Firm Feel said I should try Wild Cart MOPAR, it's a junk yard that iS MOPAR ONLY!!!
I spoke to Matt (503-668-7786), nice guy, he will ship one on Friday, $35 plus $14 shipping.
DONE!!!
