T/A for me.  Not too big into FY1 yellow cars (I like Gy3 though), but T/As are just bad ass.

with no build sheet I am not sure the V-code is worth 88k.

I'm a T/A guy all the way and in blue? done deal.

Good comment about buying Alan's Challenger if you are talking that kind of money.

T/A for me, too.  Not only does it look better/unique I think over time it will be a lot more collectable if that matters.  If I was paying that much for an old car it would have to be a good investment.

Don't go by my comments alone as I'm a big fan of the late 60's early 70's Trans Am racing series these models ran in and am probably biased.  Because of that, the fact they are visiblly different from the rest of the E Body cars and at least reference that racing history I'd say the limited nature of these 'special editions' make them slightly more collectable at least to me.  Kind of like Shelby's & Mach 1's are for Mustangs, you could order a lot of the same drivetrains & options in a regular Mustang, but these models had higher impact paint, stripes & body panels, etc. just like the AAR & TA E Body cars.  One question, how much $$ would it take to make the #2 car a #1 car?  If too much to consider doing, than that's a consideration.  Plus, you could probably find estimates for a #2 v code car vs #1 TA.  And I agree that the missing build sheet is going to hurt the V code car's value with some collectors since its options can't be absolutely verified as original.  Sounds like you may be leaning towards the V code car and that's understandable.  I'd love to have a Vanishing Point replica myself, just wouldn't want it to end quite the same way as the movie supposedly did (even though it was actually a camaro/firebird that bit the dust in the end).

I thought you already bought the blue one ? How many people do you need to tell you that it's a better car ?

Thanks guys for offering up my car, but it's a 71 V code, much rarer and in a different price bracket then these 70's. and it's not numbers matching which is high on his list. :2cents:

I wouldn't say "much lower"....there's only a 7% different between the two with the V code being 847 and the J code being 989.
....Now if you want to throw 1971 V codes in there at 127... :bigsmile:
