Sweet. Did you blackout the grille trim?

the color is a dark gray metallic,  i think the brownish tinge your getting is from the reflection of the sun, it was pretty overcast here yesterday.

all the trim is blacked out in an attempt to modernize the car and make it more sleek, while retaining the 70s muscle vibe.  power plant will be a 440 4spd, getting a megasquirt efi kit.  possibly a 5spd eventually.

I like the rubber bumpers. Do you mind saying where you got them? Or, are they the originals that were painted?

Those look like steel bumpers that were filled and painted.  :2cents:

the are steel bumpers that were smooth and shortened and filled and then painted.  then i had them tucked in tight to the body, so new custom brackets front and rear.

thanks guys.  I think the wheels will end up a matte black as well, to complete the theme.  I have a set of 17s that are 5 spoke that will show off the disc brakes more as well.  may get these powder coated and leave the chrome ones alone.

I wouldn't go "flat black" with the wheels.....I would look into the newest thing which is BLACK CHROME
