I remember as a teen, looking at nice cars with friends wondering why all of the nice cars were driven by old guys.  To me, 50 was old!
Now being over 50,  I guess 80 is old!

I guess I look like an old guy with a muscle car to the younger generation now. Bought my hardtop in 1980 for $1000. Glad I kept it till now, but almost sold it a couple of times in the 90s but changed my mind at the last minute.

I love my car. It makes me feel just like I did when I drove it then.

I remember as a kid thinking my dad was old when he was in his 30's. Now I'm 30, and my father in law still calls me (and others around my age) kids lol. Of course now I call 18-22 year olds kids now, guess it's contagious.

I've found this discussion amusing. No Shelbydogg, 80 is not old!  I'll be 80 my next birthday and I have as much fun with my Challenger as anyone.  While restoring it, with about six months to go, a young fellow told me in all honesty that " you better hurry and get it done before it's too late".  This was three years ago.  You guys are all young and need to get busy enjoying your cars and your life. :cooldancing:

Okay, I'm done complaining.

That is inspiring.  When you want something bad enough, you'll find a way.

Sorry SC,  I guess any number that I put in there would have generated a response from someone. If I said 100 was old a 100 year old would have commented. I can't win.   My Dad is 88 and still very active and driving.  If I make it that far, I don't know if I'll be that healthy. He runs on a treadmill  and still lifts weights.  I don't do anything like that, don't even have a doctor anymore.

No problem ShelbyDogg, I think age is a state of mind.  I remember when my grandpa was 98 he was talking about ole man so and so.  Ole man so and so was probably about 80, many years junior to my grandpa.  Grandpa only made it to 98 but he was still driving within three months of passing.  I wouldn't have ridden with him but he still had a license.  Best wishes to your dad!
