    6.1 hemi in a schwartz chassis what headers ??

    I have a 70 cuda with a Schwartz chassis, 6.1 genIII hemi, 545rfe trans...Etc..Was wondering if anyone has any ideas on headers or manifolds?? I have the engine/trans installed and have the stock manifolds on ..Tight fit but may work trouble is the steering shaft location. I was looking at the tti headers for the rms or magnum force crossmember, And the jury is still out if I can make them work. As a last resort I may have to have Schwartz fab me a custom set but hopefully I can make something work...Any ideas would be very helpfull Thanks Bret

    Holy crap, I spent 25k building the stuff I wanted!  That's crazy, plus my car I paid 5 for lol, plus engine...trans...interior...body and paint lol man that thing is pricey, pretty awesome tho

    Where are you located?  A custom set of header for that chassis are your best bet.  Since you have gone the entire chassis route - I would suggest sending the car back to Jeff for the headers or find a "qualified" shop near you.  Expect around a $1500 minimum bill for the headers.  Make sure you have your starter on the engine when you take it.

    I just got a set of the tti headers for the rms k-member and with a little fab and a couple dimples thay FIT wooohoo.The passenger side just needed the motor mount that bolts to the block reworked abit...The drivers side same deal but had to notch the frame mount in order to keep the dimpleing of the header to a minimum...Dale at Schwartz was very helpful with any questions that I had as they were unsure for what headers to use...Thanks Bret

    Have a look at the SRT 8 grand  cherokee headers. They are closer to the motor . the challenger srt 8  stick out to the sides. they would work  :canada:
