Vacation from Hell
« on: August 30, 2013 - 08:36:28 PM »
What a crappy weeks vacation.
I only had a week of this summer, due to our move in May.

I have not had one day where work has not been after me for one thing or another.  I guess that is the downside of a desk job, you are never really off.

I am stuck at my inlaws, whom I do not like all that much (to put it mildly).  I have not had a god nights sleep in 4 nights.

And now to top it all off, I lost my frickn cell phone after leaving it on the back of the truck today...what a bone head frickn move.  It is a work provided iphone, so now I have to figure out what steps I need to take.   :banghead: :banghead: :pullinghair: :stomp:

I am typically a pretty optomisitic guy, but lately, man it is negative all the time... I am just tired of all this crap .:bricks1:

Havin' the same week.
First-at least work can't get a hold of you anymore....
Second-these bad weeks build character and patience...
Third-I bet millions of people would trade to be you.....
Fourth-Look forward to a great week as things always even out
Good Luck

Sounds like you should have lost the cell phone first thing in the week!
Maybe You could have used "work" as an excuse to take some time off form your outlaws....er I mean inlaws!
Like,,," I gotta step out this afternoon AGAIN, duty calls!"

well on the upside, my wife found my phone onthe side of the road this morning...just a few yards away from where we stoped looking last night.

Sounds sorta like my week!  :roflsmiley:  Glad you found the phone!!!

I just came back from a vacation from the inlaws too.  I'm used to them now but there were some pretty bad feelings, at least mine toward them at the beginning years ago (I can take the blows but if anyone insults my family, especially when you first meet them without knowing them at all, I get really pissed.)

Didn't get any sleep the 5 nights we were there.  Don't know if it was from the cockroaches, itching from mosquito bites or the bad mattress.  Cockroaches, ones like 2 inches long, crawling around, down in Arkansas, in the kitchen, bedroom.  20+ mosquito bites on me, my daughter got like 10 or so and those got all swollen up.  My wife volunteered me to BBQ several nights so I was outside with the mosquitos. Had bad hip pain that wasn't helped by sleeping on an old mattress that was 30+ years old.  My son had trouble breathing because of the mold/dust/??? from the vents in the house.  Was supposed to be 4 nights but our flight got delayed and then we had to rebook our flight so we had to stay another day, meaning another night BBQing and out with the skeeters...  :22yikes:

BUT-we don't live close by and see them seldom and the get together was really good to see them as my inlaws got to spend some time with their grand kids and my wife and I.  It was well worth it!!
