cuda top of door moulding install question

hi,i have a 1972 cuda and want to install the thin moulding that goes on top of door and quarter. does anyone know how many clips are used per moulding as well as a picture of were clips go.thanks for any help

Eight on the door and four on the quarter (24 total for the car).  The rearmost clip on the door is different; it has a screw and nut on it.  Also the clips on our '70 use plastic pegs through the sheet metal.  Some later year Cudas used clips that snapped on to (welded in) studs.  I don't know what '7s's had.

I installed mine earlier this year.
You really need help since they slide on over the clips as the trim is fed on.

As one person is feeding the trim from the front of the door; the other person is gently lifting the tip of the trim over the clip on the stud and having it fall over the slot area which is underneath. Then feed the trim to the next stud/clip and repeat. 

Put green 3M tape parallel to it each side so in case the trim begins to want to scratch the paint. Check for any sharp edges before feeding trim on.

WoW...That does sound difficult....I've only installed about a dozen sets over the years, but never tried that method.

When the nut is tightened it locks the trim in place not allowing it to move fwd/aft

Maybe I made it more complicated than necessary. but I was worried on bending it or tweaking them to fit on.
