Thanks for all the comments guys!
Wade I'll look into the leather paint! Thanks! I've been looking around on google on how to do it.
As far as making the brackets..... I just made them as low as I could as it's always an issue with e-body's . Any higher and your into the steering wheel. As far as length goes, I put the seat in with blocks of wood to figure out where I wanted it , then made a drawing of all the key measurements then built it. These seats already have more adjustment than the stock e-body anyhow ( 7" I think it is?) The passenger side doesn't go back as far as the drivers side but who cares I never sit there anyhow!
I did try it out and it goes back far enough to be comfortable. Actually the limiting factor is it hits the seat belt retractor on the floor. The previous owner on my car installed a bunch of 1974 parts , seat belts being one of them.
On the drivers side I had to move the seat belt retractor back about 7" I made a new mount, drilled a new hole and bolted it in. It's thicker/stronger than the original so I'm good with it. Installed a bolt in the original hole to plug it up. I can easily bolt everything back to stock if desired at some point.
Seats were only $35 each so I bought 4 of them all black leather. With the thought of maybe I'll need parts someday or if funds permit I could get them redone to better match stock 1970 seats as I might change the back seat someday.
