When choosing seats to replace the stock ones, I highly suggest to always sit and try them.. choose what fits your physical body most comfortably... seats come in different dimensions/widths, etc.  Weight is also a factor.. some really nice seats weigh as much or more than our factory stock seats.. more weight = slower lap times, etc.   Fixed type vs adjustable/reclining.. so many variables.

I spent the evening messing with it. I have one side finished I think but it got to dark to try to install it.
First drill out the stock rivets on the Tiburon seats and open them up to 3/8"

Use button head socket head cap screws to hold on new bracket as clearance in the slider mechanism is limited.

Drivers side outer bracket ...

Drivers inner bracket. Pieces I made for the weldment...

Both sides on drivers seat bolted on with grade 8 hardware.

And that all so far....

Ok got it all mocked up and installed one seat today. Sure is much more " cozy" now! :2thumbs:
Not bad for about $90 total ..... plus my time to figure out drawings and make the adapter brackets.
Just need to find some leather dye to touch up the wear marks in the side bolster.
These seats, slide back to front, tilt forward to access the rear seat, as well as reline( NICE!), lower lumbar adjustments, and the bottom seat panel tilts.

Good installation Brad!  Next, you'll need a harness setup (5-point preferred) to really keep you in the driver's seat!

Any chance of getting a pic of the seat/console interference you mentioned?

Did I say that some where? If so I misspoke as there is no interference? I'll take some more pictures when I'm all finished though. Haven't had much time to work on it these past few days.

All finished and installed. The stock seats are stored in the basement. I can move the drivers seat back till it hits the rear seat if I want now. Very comfortable, best $90 I've spent on the car yet!
Again seats are from a 2002-2006 Hyundai Tiburon.

Those do look awesome!

How did you decided on the height of the seats?  The length of the seat track adapter legs?

Looks like they could have come stock, really super work!

Good Score on the seats  :2thumbs: Thought I'd share my experience refinishing leather. Did the steering wheel on the '98 GT that was pealing & nasty...couldn't of been easier or come out better. These colors are more of a paint than dye. SEM has a line of flexible coatings for the job, CLASSIC COAT is for leather, key is getting the surface ultra clean, you can actually sand the surface to remove rough spots & spray just like paint. I bought their cleaner but did not use it, instead I used what I knew would completely dissolve the old finish, detergent & oxi-clean, you may not want to do that but it made for a easy prep in my case. Don't get in a hurry, spray multiple very light coats & wait for flash over or IT WILL RUN. 10-months on and the steering wheel looks good as new.
I see some companies make leather repair products that are a paste that dries, think flexible Bondo. If your good with a spray gun you might consider buying by the pint from them.   http://www.leatherworldtech.com/ Watch the videos.
