Got a new toy...2005 Victory Hammer
« on: September 13, 2013 - 06:05:04 PM »
I haven't been riding that long.  Been riding my 06 Suzuki SV650 crotch rocket.

Decided to get a cruiser, so I can kick back instead of being hunched over and save my back.

Only 4110 miles.  Was already customized a little (exhaust, F&R LEDs, pegs, Accutronix rear brake), but I plan on doing a bit more (like an 07+ bullet headlight, Dakota Digital gauge setup, bigger mirrors).

Sure is a world of diff between riding that metric bike to this sucker (1600cc!!).

Looks like fun. Ride safe.

I always liked the look of a Victory.  American made with a cool style that isnt too vintage.  I dig it.

I ended up at the dealership last week and rode the new Indian, made by polaris.  They plan on running it as the competition to Harley, while leaving Victory for the younger cool guys that like good looks and not wanting to ride grandpas bike.  The Indian was real nice.  I hope it works for polaris, and Victory is rumored to expand into a larger line up, which may include a sport bike.  Finally an American motorcycle company putting out product to compete with the world.

Ya, I'm always wanting something a different than the typical, so to me, the Vic is perfect.  Made in USA and I hear, very good reliability and customer satisfaction.
