    That is definitely garage wall material.
    A while back, I read an article in one of the MOPAR rags about a guy who has a huge collection of stuff about Vanishing Point. He even had 2 cars. I believe one was authentic and the other was a resto.
    Anyone remember?

    BTW, NZ, I thought of you last night. I was up till 2 in the morning watchin Mad Max 1.

    Plum, where did you see that one?  :D I know it's the DVD cover but never knew it was a poster also.  :drool:

    I've been looking for some VP posters, I have a mexican one so far.  :laughing:


    You notice the main VP poster the one with all the people etc around it in gold and the Challenger with it's lights on in the middle, that car is a 1971 otherwise I would have got it. Nothing against 71's but I don't own one.  ;D

     :banghead:  You know what NZ, now that you mention it, if you look closely at the picture, it looks like a DVD cover. That's probably all it is. I do know someone who is into posters and he may be able to give a heads up on if there is one available. 6pkrunner does some awesome work laminating and enlarging etc. I'd give him a PM and see what he knows about it. Sorry for the flub bub.  :wave:

    Yeh, 6pkrunner made a poster he sold on the Dodge Charger site a couple years ago, sweet indeed ! I wonder if he'd do the same with our E-bodies? Makes a great wall hanger! Good piont Plum,

    I don't have that particular image from VP (with the choppers in it) It is on the DVD release and a DVD cover could not carry the resolution to make a poster from it. However, if someone has that in an 8x10 inch image, away to the races. I found a 4x6 inch of that on eGouge, but it would be on the fence for going to a 36 x 48-50 or so size. It may or it may not without going really grainy. An 8x10 will go huge no problem at all.

    whitesatinmopar - I believe that you may be referring to the board posters? Here's three that I've done in no particular order for a reference if that is what you are talking about. The members really like them.

    NZ - I do tons of specialized stuff for guys. No problem at all. As we both know that chopper shot is from the DVD only and is on the edge size wize for doing any justice with it. It may be fine, but if is photography from that era and if it wasn't a Hasselblad then its a crapshoot for quality. However, if someone has that shot (and I'm watching one on egouge right now), I'll see how fat it can go before becoming useless.
    And since the movie was released in 1971 the most common poster utilizes the 1971 Challenger in it. Think they would have stomped on this.....

    And if there is interest in doing a board poster, let me know.

    Thanks 6pk, I'll keep an eye out on VP posters that are good size and of good quality.

    I know......71 Challenger!?!?!?!?!?!?!  :grinno: :(

    I like that poster set out but it's just wrong.  :laughing:

    Those that want in on it can begin by hosting or posting a fairly high resolution image of their car in a thread labelled appropriately. That way a start can be made on it as the rest are bolting the cars together. And diamonds in the rough or under construction are encouraged to get into the act also. Really the only criteria is to be a member of the board. And who has the highest resolution image of the board's logo?
