E-body center console wiring harness....

OEM center console wiring harness for an ebody. What does one look like or is it very simple and can be made?

it is only a single orange wire to the light on the shifter & only if it is an automatic , it ties into the orange dash light circuit & dims with the dash lighting

Yes it can be simply made. Just need to run a socket from the shifter bezel (self grounding) to the orange wires for the dash lights.
The original is actually two pieces. First piece starts with a bullet connector plugged into the triangle (3 outlet) plug just above the radio and runs across the dash to the passenger side door post to about the area of the yellow door jamb switch wiring, there it has a spade type connector. Then the second wire (quite long) starts there with a spade connector and runs diagonally under the carpet to the shifter where it has a light socket same as most dashboards.

I thought the factory routing as along the rocker close to the center of the seat then 90* across the floor under the seat to the console ? For simplicity you could drop it straight down behind the heater box under the front of the console as no one can see it under the carpet anyway .

My opinion: In all the years I've done E Bodies, I've never seen them go along the rocker, I don't think the wire is long enough. Again, just the cars I've seen.
B Body console lights, 73-74 E Body seat belt buzzers and such go along the rockers....

From the PS kick panel, diagonally under the carpet is how mine was. There was a black piece of tape securing the wire to the trans hump.

Look closely, you can see the wire running along the passenger side, with two pieces of black tape, this is factory for a 70 Barracuda.

Your picture clearly shows the wire NOT running along the passenger side rocker, yet coming out the passenger side door post and going across to the shifter as I mentioned.

Maybe it was different year or possibly a B body , none of my cars have ever had it as I have never owned an auto but I do remember seeing one crossing under the front of the seat where it is better protected

This is a 69 B Body floor. The console wires run down the driver's side rocker, turn 90* and head under the driver's seat, there are two tabs holding the harness in place.

My car was never modified and the picture was taken when the original carpet was removed.  as stated, this is for a 1970 E-Body, other years abd models may have been different.
