71 Challenger Convertible.. Nice driver " SOLD "
« on: September 22, 2013 - 04:31:34 PM »
1971 Dodge Challenger Convertible. 340-4spd P/S, P/Disc brakes A/C, P/Top. New legendary interior and boot. New windshield, wheels , tires and rear wing.
Originally born a 318 3spd car in green. Now has a great running 340 and a 4-spd. Painted red
over 20 years ago, it still looks great but is showing some nicks and scratches. Very presentable driver with original floor pans and trunk floor. Please call with any questions.
Asking $43000.00 or best reasonable offer. Trade ins considered No Motorcycles or Street Rods.I would keep the wheels and tires if you don't want them, but I have nothing to put on the car. Maybe a set of 14"ralleys with good tires if they are still available.

This car is local to me, so if you are interested and want a third party opinion of the car, I would be more than happy to meet with the owner and check it out for you.
Cheers!

If I was in a position to be a serious buyer I would take you up on the offer but I would have to sell a vehicle to free up space in my garage and add to the toy fund.

Thanks.

It's bitter sweet selling this car. I like it and planned on keeping it a year or more till the Chall Conv Resto mod , 6.4 hemi was complete. I need the space and the GM (Camaro) buyers are a breed that I have a hard time dealing with. The camaro conv or the Chall need to sell to keep the resto mod project rolling.
I would prefer the Camaro to go, but .....
Thanks , Keith

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks that.  I had a 70 Camaro for sale when Papa John was paying finder fees to locate his Z.  By the way, I am just outside of Louisville where Papa Johns is located.  I don't know how many crack heads called wanting my documentation because they were looking for a long lost boy friends car.  One lady called me up, told me I stole her car.  Threatened to call the police.  My car was originaly white with blue stripes and I repainted to orange and black.  She said her car was orange and black....really, well lady, i painted it that. It was a life lesson for my son.  I told him never buy a camoro!!!  They are a different breed...not the kind you want to deal with.  Stick with Mopar.  Best of luck with your 71 vert sale.
