I followed TexasStroker and blcd74 over here - I've trolled a few subjects and pics and it looks like a good place to be. My ride is a 2012 Challenger SE/SXT (whatever you want to call it... I should put a formal vinyl roof on it and call it an SE!!) that I bought last July with 33 miles on it. To date I'm at a little over 2,600 miles; obviously not a daily driver.
I decided on the '70 style stripes because the factory kicks out the '71 style and I wanted something different. All the modifications were done by me. It took me about 10 hours to put the stripes on; since I work on models as a hobby it was just a larger scale in my head. The script emblems were put on in the '70 locations with factory measurements from that year so it looks a little different than it would on an actual '70 Challenger (we all know these new ones are a bit beefier). I also decided to put the Pentastar emblem on the car just to make the uninitiated wonder what the hell it's for. Under the hood I painted the engine cover Hemi orange, put a black stripe down the right side and a Scat Pack bee on the left. Indoors I have accents around the radio/temp waterfall, around the console, and in the door panels. The latest mod is the Mopar t-shifter. I need some more up-to-date pics since the attached don't show everything.
Performance-wise I couldn't be happier, even with the V6. Amarillo Area Mopars had an event at Amarillo Dragway and it ran 15.88 @ 91.48. Corrected it should be good for low 15s... not too shabby IMO.
Speaking of Amarillo Area Mopars (shameless plug), the Chryslers In The Canyon show is coming up fast (a little over two weeks)! There's a thread in the "Shows" section - check it out and get entered!! I'm really looking forward to going!
