It's been a tough week for me...had to put my retired partner, khan, down....he was 11 but was in great health up until a month ago...occupied my time with the kids and finally spent some time in the garage....the engine bay is ready for primer....and now have all the parts except the carb...going with the hhr fan set up, electric fuel pump and so on...spending money apparently made me feel better one night......

:iagree:  after 11 years, and being a partner on top of that, it is impossible not to get attached.  Sorry to hear.

sorry to hear of your loss with Khan.  Our GSD left us at 10, way to early. They are awfully good companions.

Look at your engine then at these pistons

The stock hp higher compression piston were 2 valve reliefs and left and right :2thumbs:  Ask the bullit how well his 73 runs. It is a strong engine you will still enjoy your build.
Not all 4 valve relief pistons are low comp the Sealed power 428P are for 68-71 340 and have 10 to 1 comp with 4 valve reliefs. I think how far the piston sit below the deck when parked on TDC has more to do with comp the valve reliefs.

Well was delt a another blow...my wife Lisa took her own life Sunday.  Words can explain how I feel.  She had so much to live for.  No one know why she did it.  My world is just crushed.  She was my best friend....the only girl I ever meet and knew I was going to be with.  I've never known what broken is until now.

Our condolences just don't seem "enough"  Let us know if we can help in some way?
