Clutch

Whats involved in converting a cable clutch to a hydraulic clutch? Are the benefits worth the costs? Not real mechanically inclined so gotta ask my dumb questions here....  :clueless:   I have to have some clutch work done so now is the time to do it if it seems a better way to go.  Thanks in advance for any answers

I like the hyd clutch systems , easy to set up , I like the release brgs that bolt on the front of the transmission & push against the trans rather than using a cylinder & the release fork , Tilton & McLeod both sell this type . Not sure what vehicle you are working on though , I know Mustangs have cable clutch systems

Do it:  I had a 427 '68 Vette with a M-22, 4 speed.  It would REALLY KICK YOUR ASS in stop and go traffic.  My left  leg would just get wore out as the manual clutch bearing is a real bi--h to keep depressing and holding

 A hyd unit is easy to install, but it is a little pricey:  Even more so if you pay someone to install it

Is it worth it, you bet:   Ive got one in my 71 Cuda 440 and my 1967 Toyota FJ45 with a Chevy 350 conversion
