L60 14's?

Anybody know the magic combination of backspacing and wheel width that will allow a guy to run l60 14's on an e-body Mopar without air shocks or relocating leaf springs?

Where are you finding L60-14's?!! I haven't heard of those in a long time.  That's what I used to run on the Roadrunner back in the 70's.  They fit just fine with 8" rims, were way too close to the fender with 10" rims.  Both had I think 3.5" backspacing with the 10" rims so I had to keep the air shocks pumped up pretty high.  I'm really surprised you can even find 14" tires that big anymore.  That's why I went to 15" rims and now tires are getting hard to find in that size....

Friend of mine has a couple of Pos-a-track torque twisters he took off his 69 charger that are like new.  Looking for a quick bolt on 70's street machine look without altering the car. Seems to be a reasonable route, IF I can get them to fit. I think if I get a 14x8 wheel with a 4.25 backspacing, they might fit, but I'm not sure. Don't want this to end up being just a costly experiment, ya know?

What is the metric equivalent of an L60, 275/60?  If so, an 8" wide wheel with only 4.25" backspace is going to be tight to the fender lip. Possible, but cozy.

For the quintessential '70s street machine look and approach you need to lift the sucker anyway.
