Barracuda Gran Coupe Rocker Molding Clips (AGAIN)

:horse: :horse: :horse: :horse: :horse: :horse: :horse: :horse: :horse: :horse:

Oh great...this topic !!!AGAIN!!!???

Yes I am still beating this dead horse and I am trying to figure out the best way to mount my gran coupe rocker moldings onto the car.

I just discovered today that the sun visor installation and the rocker moldings are the FINAL items of my restoration (started TWENTY FIVE YEARS AGO) so I am making a big push to get these last two items completed so I can start the restoration all over again.

Anyhoo...has anyone discovered a source for the rocker molding clips?  I know another post showed some alternate plastic clips being successfully used however a part number of those alternate clips would be greatly helpful.

THANKS AGAIN!!!

I've got two sets of those rockers and no clips.

I bought a set of generic plastic clips and they look like they can be modified to work.  When (if) I ever get around to installing my moldings I'll document the experience with pictures.

You might have already seen these, but if not, here is a pic of an original clip.  These are the factory style mounting clips (spring steel with the foam seal around the center).  I have not found these in reproduction anywhere yet, probably because very few of us are going to reinstall these moldings.  I want to install my moldings, but I'm hesitant to use these clips because they are one-time use only; they break when removed; I know, I tried one!  It seems impossible to compress the center portion in order to remove it and that was without the molding in place, just the clip.  The plastic ones might flex outward a bit too much, but let us know how they work out!

The Don Garlits Mopar show is just around the corner.  I will try to locate the vendor I bought the plastic clips from and get the part/product number!!!

Those look like the ones that i bought!  I had to do some trimming (see the other thread-->  http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?topic=90631.0  ), but i don't see a part #.

Well...I think we are all on the same track with these clips.  I simply have not had the time to work on that project
