Work completed week ending 4-3-05
« on: April 03, 2005 - 11:53:19 AM »
I removed my broken drivers side door handle and installed a slightly less crappy non-broken one.  Hey, at least I can open my door now. :dontknow:
Also installed a rally mirror to see how it looks, but for some reason it doesn't look like one from an e-body.
Since I got my new camera I took some other miscellaneous pics of the car.  By the way... Is it good when your carpet is the only thing holding your drivers seat in the car???    :'(

Well, any progress is good progress.  That mirror has me trying to think of mine, but I cannot remember it enough to determine if you do or don't have the correct one.  I'd say you could always look at some of the other E-bodies here and determine that.  As for the floor pan, that does look nasty, but just wait until you stick some new metal in there.  It'll look .

Progress is progress.  The mirror looks like it's for a 71-74 E-body, but I would have to see other angles to be sure. It looks good though.

Waiting for parts isn't so bad. It's paying for them that stinks.    Hang in there.

Brake system is Complete and blead.
Fuel system is almost done after over $200 in AN fititngs and braided line.
Wiring is almost all complete except for the lighting and instrument panel.
Drive shaft and deep sump tranny pan is in.

Still need to do this tho get running and moving:
Run tranny cooler lines and mount cooler
Run main fuel line  and 1 more feed line to carb.
Fill all fluids
Hook up linkage for shifter

And buy: well we wont get into that... :nono:  :eekbig: $$$$  :stomp:

Mike and Nick, the progress you guys are doing is looking sweet!!! :grinyes:  I can't wait to get back home and get back to that little thing we call progress.  I have decided to buy an at home powder coating system so I can get my smaller front suspension components blasted and powder coated gloss black.

Thanks Mark! You must be dyin to get back workin on the challenger. Are you going to buy the eastwood hot coat kit? Wouldnt it be cheaper to just send the parts out?

Yeah, I can't wait to get back to the project.  The kit's just $130.00, so I may as well buy it cause that would probably be what it'd cost to have them powder coated.  I figure if I buy this, I can use it on future projects and on a lot of the parts I have for my '73.
