Put some new front shocks on the '74 'cause the thing was shaken alittle on the freeway ::)

Still shakes but alot less... I might have a front tire going away or just out of balance

The Arizona sun has been beating on my oct 1997 paint job and I have some oxidation on the hood and
roof so I took some 2000 grit sandpaper to the hood to clean it up....works great ;)

hit it with some turtle wax polish and then some clay  with a tutle wax chaser

The hood looks way better but it could use alittle more work

Since it's still April 3rd... I guess this applies....

 :fire:The B*tch 'N Blue RUNS!! :fire:

That's right... at about 8:30ish (or somewhere around there) she sputtered and coughed to life, the quickly died out with a puff of flame out the carb... STRIKE 1....

After a little readjustment on the timing and making sure everything was still in order (as well as oil and tach gauges working), she cranked, spit and roared to life at about 3000 rpm.... quickly adjusting timing while she was running... there was some popping out the exhaust from the solid rockers being out of adjustment just a little... but she was running... for about 30 seconds.... STRIKE 2...

After discovering coolant leaks from 3 bolts on the intake/exhaust maninfolds, the bypass hose on the water pump and one heater hose line, we shut her down... some disassembly happened and major tightening and double checking over everything occurred... by the time everything was checked, it was noted that the clock read 10:30, so, unfortunately, no possibliity for strike 3 today...

However... tomorrow... she shall be officially broken in and tuned... UPDATES to follow!! :burnout:

Congrats Mike on your progress!   We are not far behind!

This weekend we continued to work our plan...finished more electrical systems, got the high beam switch installed, the passenger kick panels are now in.  Speedo cable is in.  neutral safety harness came in so we installed that.  Fuel system finished.  Then we worked on Brakes. bled the brakes and tested stopping wheels.  They lock right up! Emergency brakes now working.  The "Brake" light now comes on when emergency is on. yeah!  Had to remake the stainless steel line shown below... it was leaking-  bad flare.

Then....  turned to the throttle and kickdown.  Got our Lokar systems, and with a little re-engineering, got our systems working.  here are some pics:

Great work to all of you, I feel like the tortoise as far as the runner project goes, slowly but surely. If I just had a couple better eyes, and a couple quicker hands, and a couple more brains, and a couple less , I'd probably be done, oh well, I'm having a ball, me and my honey will prevail. Beleive me when that gal fires off I'll let you know, but don't hold your breath, lol.
