Ask the guy if the dash oplique is still attached, going by the instruments it looks to be a Barracuda dash, not bad for the whole deal :2thumbs: good luck.

Looks like a decent deal to me. Just curious Hemiken, how can you tell it is a Barracuda dash by looking at the instruments?

He doesn't show any close ups of the dash pad itself. And that's the most important part. If it's pliable with no cracks then it's a real
decent deal. Look over the harness for burnt wiring and splices.
If I cant fix it, it's broke

It is not a proper Gran Coupe cluster, if it was their would be a steel plate that mounts to the face on the gauge cluster for the simulated wood grain to attach to, you can see that someone has stuck decal wood grain on the switch panel. The easiest way to tell a Barracuda standard dash cluster from a Challenger standard dash cluster is by looking at the Speedo, as pictured in the advert, the numerals are all laid out in a horizontal manner, if you look at a challenger Speedo, the numerals will follow the circle around the dial, not horizontal. If someone can post a picture of the two Speedo's, you will see the difference. Their are also different small guages with different font and lay out also, that starts coming in to differences with year of car. That can be for another time.

Thanks, Kenny. :)

I think it's an OK deal, but what I would be concerned about is that even though it might have been storedin the dark it may have dried out. I might be that when you install it that it starts to crack. Still may be a worthwhile gamble, though.

IF....and that's a big "if"...the dash pad is 100% perfect, crack free with no blemishes, it's a great deal, would even be a good deal if the asking price was twice as much. :2cents:

If the pad has even a slight crack...the whole works is worth less then $100.

UNLESS the VIN tag is for a Hemicuda, then it would be worth more :roflsmiley:

Thanks for the lesson Kenny. I have had lots of these standard dashes and noticed the different font and lay out but figured it was just different model years. I didn't know that Barracuda and Challenger were different within the same model year.
