so, sounds like 10.3 quarts is the max amount of oil you want in there, though I will
run a quart low to help minimize windage oil losses on the crank. So, once you get the dip
stick in, regardless of how you bend it, you can make two new marks on the stick to show your
high oil level, both when cold and hot. I run 0-wt30 full synthetic in my 496 street car. You can even
check level first with 9.3 quarts in, to mark your low level point.
As far as bending, I would just keep bending till something works. Dip sticks are cheap.
