Is that grille painted black? I am curious as I am thinking of painting mine like the AAR ones.

the rockers pop up pretty regular.  usually around $200 USD.  But definitely get them, and your 3-piece tail panel trim. I think you will be pleased that you did!

I agree, 200 US is a reasonable price on a used rocker set.
The 3 piece tail trim is on order and i should have them in a week or so. I really enjoy this, its like a big jigsaw where the last pieces are falling in place.

Had a good weekend in the garage.
Friday i went by my chrome guy and picked up some goodies. He is doing an excellent job and the tail panel moldings really puts some "bling" to the rear.

Also finished up the interior. Had some thoughts on if i really should go for white. But the decision was made and i think that the combo of white and purple is sweeeeet.
Have 2 kids aged 9 and 11. "Dad, can we bring our chocolate ice cream into the car"....

The light inside the garage is tricky. Looks like the door panels are cream colored and seat covers white. There is a slight difference but not as much as seen in the pics. I am happy!

"usraptr" = United States raptor - bird of prey = United States Bald Eagle.  FYI, somebody else thought of it first so I had to drop the "O" in raptor.

Making some progress.

I admire you guys who make these 100% originals restos but my car will not be done that way. Lacking original engine / trans and other bits and pieces, that idea is kind of lost anyway.
So, the engine has the wrong color, i know. But orange and Plum Crazy makes a sweet combination.

What was your car originally?
Does it have the tags/build sheet?

How'd you find it and the story of getting all the way to where you are?

Was a 6 cyl. eng, white with vinyl top (unknown color) and red interior. No tags or build sheet, some "talented" previous owner took the car apart in the late 90's and lost them. Have at least the VIN on the dash.
Cool thing is that the first owner lives 2 hr drive from me. Have met him and he promised to dig out old photos etc on the car. He lived in Florida during late sixties to early 80's. Bought the car new and shipped it over to Thailand when he moved back.
Time took its toll on the car, orig engine gave up and was replaced with a 4 cyl Nissan and auto trans (!), rust showed up in rear quarters and trunk and finally it was just a crappy old car so he parked it.
Gave it to his neighbor who started some body works but then gave up. 2 more owners followed who did nothing with the car. Then I got it and the rest you have here.

Mopars are very rare here. I consider myself Thailands luckiest Mopar nut as I have 2......
