Out of curiosity, why are removed originals better than NOS?

Because a lot of NOS metal was done years after the production of a car was finished and many dies were not in best shape.

When I worked in a Magna stampping plant, we would make all kinds of parts for the big three...whenever we had some rejected parts, instead of scrapping them, we labeled them as "service" and sent them directly to the big three....what they did with them I don't know... :dunno:

Back in late 78-79'.

I bought over the counter a Rallye Cuda hood (which I still have) and a front windshield trim moulding.

The hood had a bow on one side and the trim has too curved to sit right.
These were genuine NOS parts I bought over the counter.

I am sure my computer tower was made from an old Magna panel at some stage of its recycled life :smilielol:
