Dyna Tech mitymount vs Mancini Racings poly loc
« on: October 27, 2013 - 04:04:48 PM »
I've got 74 cuda. Just dropped in 440 727 setup with headman elite headers.  I barely have 1/8in between steering box and fender liner after all adjustmenting available is used up.  I'm trying to decide what mounts to replace the 5 dollar cheapos at the store with.  Any and all advise greatly appreciated.    :feedback:

People have reported polylock failures.
I use stock mounts, but with a Shumacher Torque Strap.

72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"

the best solution I have found is the stock mount with a 6" or so long piece of flat steel approx 1/8 thick & 1 " wide bolted to the bock ear & the mount center bolt on the left mount , cheap to make , unbreakable & almost invisible

Thanks for the info guys, I think imma run the dyna tech mitymounts with a torque strap.  Hopefully the new mounts will raise my motor away from steering box and inner fender.
