ready to come home
« on: April 04, 2005 - 10:12:18 PM »
sorry, yeah, I know its not a mopar, but Elanore is finally ready to come home.
could not move the car shes on, so we ramped her up on it, backed the trailer up and slid her on.
I had to move 20 cars thru mud with my truck to get her.
aint she a beaut? we already stripped her to a bare body, actually not as bad as she looks.

B5, that's going to be a beautiful car!  If I ever got the urge to get a non-mopar...that would probably be my choice.  A neighbor of hours has one...silver...gorgeous!  Here's a pic.  He comes over all the time checking on the chally.  Car people are so great!

Nice non-Mopar rescue, B5!!!  It's always good to see any muscle car rescued from a destined future for destruction.

Ya I was wondering if how much a 71-74 Roadrunner would cost to get from that junkyard and if youve found any challengers?

wow, I am glad of all the responses from mopar lovers that also love other brand muscle cars.
I think any muscle car is awesome.
I have not found any challengers in that salvage yard, only a 70 cuda, 383 4 speed.
entire cars can not really be removed unless you go thru a lot of work like I did moving other dead vehicles.
There is a 72 lemon twist road runner with a white interior, pretty wacked, but salvagable in my book. see pic
I think most cars can be bought for 100 - 200.
I paid 100 for the mustang fastback.

If I had the skills/experiance, I'd buy that one in a heartbeat.

yeah, its a shame, many of these could be salvaged.
this one is actually fairly solid as far as rust goes and was plum crazy purple.
its also close enough to the road I cleared for the mustang to get it out.

Sorry. Not me. I'm all the way 100% MOPAR OR NO CAR! :guitar:  I've yet to see any cars that look better than a 60s-70s style Mopar.
