Congrats my friend!!!!!  She sounded awesome!!!!! (Yes, he did call me when he got it running).  By the sound you would never know there was a 6 hiding under that hood.  I really can't wait for my ride in the B*tch at Carlisle!

 :dupe: :dupe: :dupe: :dupe:

Yep... almost saw the red's and blue's of a whitey tonight... somehow the time flew while we were working on doing some more tweaking and one of my neighbors (I know who it was) called the cops on us... so we're sitting there playing with timing and such and a cop car rolls down the street... turns around and stops in front of my house... the cop got out and walked up the driveway... "How's it going tonight guys?"... we looked at each other, "Good"... he basically told us to keep it down even though he couldn't hear the car when he pulled up (it WAS running!)... he said he fully understood what we were doing as he has a brother that does the same thing on the South Side of Chicago... when I realized it was 10 after 10, I appologized and said we were done for the night (which was true)... he was cool about it and walked back to his car....

 :dogpile: :dogpile: :dogpile: :dogpile:

I've officially had the cops called on the B*tch 'N Blue now... HEHEHE!!  :guitar: :guitar:

So, how about a little update on the car now... we found one of the timing issues - my pertronix inside the distributor was LOOSE!! :eekbig: That explained the timing loss after running for a bit... so, we pulled the dist., tore everything out, made sure everything was still ok, and put it all back in and TIGHTENED it down!! Reset the timing, tweaked the car some and fired her back up... worked better... (prior to all this, we had her running fairly well for a bit and got her warm enough to reset valve lash for the 3rd time)... adjusted the idle a little and sure enough, we were idling at about 1000 rpm... OMG!!! This cam has such a lope I though she was going to stall out!!!!

So, until we can fully get the popping sound gone, I won't be fully happy... but to know that I can fire her up and she'll idle at 1000 rpm is just fricken SWEET!!! :guitar:  :grinyes:
